From the day she was born, Ronan had always been a convenient inconvenience to Louise Worth. She was brought into the world unceremoniously and without a second thought, though that didn't mean she wasn't deeply loved. The product of a non-consensual drunken evening, she wound up being raised initially by Louise and her best friend, Andrew White whom she had been friends with since elementary school. For the first three years of her life, Ronan lived a strange lifestyle that became the source of many think pieces by local publications. Louise, always one to find an easy, simplified way to make money was not shy to being interviewed. A woman living with her gay best friend, coparenting a child together that had been an accident 'but such a blessing.' It was enough to inspire many thoughts, some incredibly choice and not at all complimentary. However, whilst Ronan was on the cusp of hitting the bright age of four years old, Andrew mysteriously disappeared, packing up and leaving with a gathering disguised as a birthday party to Ronan. Unknown to her, the move had been completely premeditated. It wouldn't be until she was eighteen that she would discover that Andrew and her mother had planned his departure, and that he would later become Andrea White, living an idyllic life in California.

Ronan's mother was quick to find another avenue to make money, though this was a venture that far exceeded any ideas she had brewing in the past. She rigged up her small, two bedroom home and transformed the living room into a medium's best (or worst) nightmare. She became Claudette White - Spirit Medium, taking on Andrea's surname as a nod to their friendship. Of course, Ronan herself was always involved either invisibly or on the front lines. While she was young and small, Louise encouraged her to clamour into the hollow table in the living room and shake it under the guise of a vengeful spirit, coming to knock old man Warner Rhodes down a peg for talking shit about his dear departed wife, Audrey behind her back. As Ronan grew older, however she took on a more active role in the scam artistry. To her, however it was normal. She would commandeer the ouija board and roll her eyes back in her head, anything to really sell the crooked business that her mother was trying to shill. There were times when people realised they had been had, and those were moments where Louise would rip Ronan out of her environment and escape the public vitriol to a neighboring state to start all over again. CPS investigated Louise various times over Ronan's childhood, mostly at the hands of disgruntled customers who were concerned that the girl was being used for horrible purposes, but Louise had always been good at talking up the legitimacy of her business to anyone who stared too closely at the cracking facade.

After the death of Louise's sister, Joy, it was clear a peg had been knocked loose in the vast regions of her mind. She began to leave Ronan with her friends for a week at a time while she used money from her business to vacation overseas. Fiji, New Caledonia, Mexico. Anywhere she could lock her eyes on men in their early twenties and convince them she held more money in her fists than she had ever seen in her life just so they'd spend time with her. Ronan was left behind, occasionally visiting her cousin Ivy in Boston, but mostly stuck inside researching serial killers, magic and the occult of her own morbid curiosities. High school passed her by before she knew it. She spent it shut indoors with her curtains drawn and an unsurprising lack of friends trailing behind her. She graduated, and barely anybody noticed for she had been almost as non-existent in the student body as the ghosts she and her mother claimed to contact.

With high school a somewhat distant memory, Ronan moved to Boston and delved into beauty school for lack of any other real ambitions. When it became apparent that she didn't have the enthusiasm, nor the vibrant personality to work on clients after losing her first real job past graduation she stumbled upon mortuary cosmetology. To someone who had grown up with normal endeavors and business ideas, perhaps it would have been a job to hesitate over, but it was the contrary for her. She didn't have to put on an air of customer service for people who were so deceased they only needed professionalism and respect in their appearances.
